Local Transport – Use Of Plastic Moving Crates

When using local transport or moving interstate, there are several options available on the type of packaging. For long distance transport, one must make sure that they use high quality, sturdy and robust packaging items which can withstand the challenges of interstate transport.

For local transport one may choose between cardboard boxes or, plastic moving crates. There are few problems associated with the use of cardboard boxes like, they are not waterproof, they have to be disposed at the end of your move and there is a limit to how multiple cardboard boxes can be stacked together before the weight pressure breaches the threshold.

An alternative to cardboard boxes when using local transport is the use of plastic moving crates which can be easily stacked and have handles to move them around. The plastic moving crates are watertight and leak resistant and hence better equipped for local transport.
